Lots of good stuff on BBC4 including next Tuesday Just A Boy's Game showing my home town in all its glory

I watched Abigail's Party last week, I had completely forgotten the ending. Alison Steadman was magnificent.

Used to watch the Wednesday Play then Play For Today in the late 60s / early 70s, so was interested in watching Abigail's Party, however gave up halfway through as the characters were so banal, tedious and stupid!
 

Ah, but I was so much older then ... I'm younger than that now

I rather thought that was the point of the play!

Yeah, I got that but couldn't put up with it - or bother seeing where it ended up.
