It is indeed a lovely little film, part of it filmed in my adopted home town of Worthing.

Another film also available on IPlayer is "Edie" with Sheila Hancock set predominantly in Scotland, an equally charming film.

I saw it in the cinema when it first came out, along with my (then) 13 year old granddaughter: we both loved it, and I bought her the DVD in due course.

Well worth watching.

"Him? Midge Ure?"
"Yes, very."

Watched it this evening - brilliant. If Shirley Henderson, who played Lucille Hardy, bears any physical resemblance to her, she and Ollie were a bit of a comic double-act, as well: he 6'2" and hugely obese, she slim and tiny.

Looking at pictures of them, I would guess she's a bit taller than that but not much. And she is quite slim.
