A little late perhaps,  but at least I'm not being divisive. :(

Sometimes I wish my first word was 'quote,' so that on my death bed, my last words could be 'end quote.'

Very alarming and worrying. Quote from the article:

The guidance recommends using gender-neutral terms, rather than those that make sex distinction such as:

- You or they/their/them, not he/she or him/her

- People/person or individual(s), rather than man/men or woman/women

- Everyone/colleagues, rather than ladies and gentlemen/guys

- Parent or guardian, rather than mother or father

- Partner, rather than husband or wife

- Sibling, rather than brother or sister

(end of quote)

It seems male or female must not be mentioned for fear of offending someone. A horrible meme that has crept into society and is starting to appear in many places. The above is 'guidance' for students from Manchester University but children from a young age are being subjected to this idea in some institutions. It can cause all kinds of emotional and mental problems. Luckily, many parents can recognise the dangers and are removing their children from educational settings teaching such confusion.

Is it just my perception, or has the general response to the terrible fate of Sarah Everade pushed this bizarre genuflection to the sexual identification needs of a microscopic minority into the long grass?

Are we now acknowledging that women do exist and have a total right to their own security, dignity and respect - as women?

I hope so.
Does Magna Carta mean nothing to you? Did she die in vain?

It's just your perception. There's been much annoyance that the vigils/protests were hijacked by a group called Sisters Uncut who have protested at women only spaces. Much of the speakers' rhetoric has been how this is about 'all women' particularly transwomen. The group ReclaimTheseStreets which set up a crowdfund which has made over £500,000 in 3 days without having any clear plan to spend it have explicitly said that it is transwomen inclusive, and that those who don't agree with tyat are scum. The red haired activist whose pictures have become emblematic in her first interview specifically spoke about transwomen.

In the Domestic Violence Bill in the Lords last night misogyny was being defined as being used against women, including trandwomen.
