Patrick Kielty: 100 years of union.
« on: September 17, 2021, 08:27:18 AM »
I found Patrick Kieltys' look at Northern Ireland's attitudes today, one hundred years after its' creation, absorbing and thought provoking. The slot with Kielty, whose father was murdered by a 'loyalist' hit squad, talking with a young loyalist at one of the notorious bonfires was both engrossing and disturbing. Definitely worth a watch https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m000zpw3/patrick-kielty-one-hundred-years-of-union

WARNING.....SAID DOCUMENTARY CONTAINS JOHNSON.
(he was bleating about his idea of a bridge from the province to Kintyre.)

I like Patrick Kielty.  A few years back I saw him in a documentary in Northern Ireland 'My Dad the Peace & Me', which I found very interesting indeed. I'll try and catch this one later, thanks for info.
