Just been reading about that. UFO's certainly exist - it stands for "unidentified flying object". Extra-terrestrial spacecraft almost certainly don't exist in our skies.

Currently the story seems perfectly poised in that there must be either more to it, or less to it than we know.

Fighter pilots spotted a small black bear hanging from the balloon, singing "how sweet to be a cloud" - the Chinese clearly  trying to trick the Americans into thinking it was a weather balloon. The latest object was itself disguised as a cloud, being dark-coloured and octagonal, eliminating the need for a bear.
