So what am I supposed to believe? My only two options seem to be

1. he is lying

2. he is too stupid to understand the laws that he put in place.

A good analogy I read on another site is that it is as if he was caught doing 60 in a 30 limit and then claimed he acted "in good faith" because nobody pointed out the 30 limit signs to him. Yet it was he who erected the signs the day before.

Interesting that his defending barrister will be Lord Pannick, the very lawyer who led the prosecution against Johnson over the illegal proroguing of parliament. We're led to expect that lawyers can perform extreme psychological gymnastics, but one would like to think that they're more prone to take on cases which they actually believe in. Particularly when they can afford to pick and choose.
Pannick is notorious for his high fees, but we know Boris has various unorthodox ways of appropriating money.

I read that the legal fees for Johnson's defence are government funded.

Ah, but I was so much older then ... I'm younger than that now

One of the main takeaways for me is that 10 Downing Street is simultaneously so small that everyone has to work on top of each other, yet so large that you don't hear parties being held.

As convincing a defence as I've ever heard.

Fiona Bruce took an audience vote last night

The audience in Question Time is not selected at random but they try to get a balance of political viewpoints.

Not one person thought Boris Johnson was telling the truth.

Some worked so hard, they had sex in the Cabinets. Because there were working so hard for the Cabinet Secretary.
