Angela R on It Takes Two - ooft. Who is going to win? Ellie because she exemplifies someone with no dance experience, and she's young which is great like Bobby.

Well Layton is obviously Chopped Samba! And he's on the same It Takes Two!

Layton in bottom 3 and will I think be in the dance off with Angela. I thought it felt a bit flat after Blackpool. We still await a 40. My prediction is that Layton will survive the dance off with Angela, and both he and Ellie will get 40 next week.

Nigel Harman out due to injury. Not clear what they will do as regards elimination at this point.

As mentioned in the Doctor Who thread, I don't think I was in the best of moods last night. From the badly performed judges' choreography which didn't as the commentary stated 'show them how it's done' onwards, my brow was furrowed like a grumpy wombat.

It might be easier to ignore the overmarking in the 40 for Layton if Shirley didn't proclaim that the side by side work was in perfect sync when it was not even close. The awed tones from Motsi about how brave he was dealing with 'all the hate' combined with the almost bullying of Craig to give him a 10 was fingers down the throat stuff.

We then got Bobby getting way overmarked for dancing averagely and badly screwing up the most iconic lift in musicals.

Points to Nigel for tirning up while high on pain killers for broken rib.

So in marks Layton, Ellie, Bobby, Annabel. I suspect the public vote will be Ellie, Annabel, Bobby, Layton meaning Bobby and Annabel will be in dance off, and Bobby will go be saved.

Layton as ever was excellent but the charleston was not as good as the comments but that may be because he was dancing to Fit As A Fiddle and he's no Donald O'Connor.

I, on this occasion, beg to differ.

When the Charleston finished I yelled 10 at the TV.

I never do that.

Layton, Ellie, and Bobby in final. Ellie only one that's never been in dance off. Ellie 5/1 on in terms of odds.

And Ellie wins. Some absolutely great dancing tonight, someone should get Layton into professional dancing. At times tonight it wadn't that it looked like 2 professionals dancing with Layton and Nikita, but that Layton looked like the more experienced professional, and in terms of being the main dancer in a huge show, he is.

Bobby's couples choice had everyone and nearly CRH in tears. Having Amy Dowden standing behind him as she recovers from cancer and he's talking about his mother who died of cancer when he was 6, was questionable to me in that I'm not sure it's fair to Amy.

Ellie's show dance could, because of the screw up in the last lift, only score 36 but it was quite extraordinary.

This isn't 'strictly' true as Amanda Abbington and Giovanni Pernice didn't
