John Crace on his heart attack
« on: March 21, 2024, 10:20:00 AM »
https://www.theguardian.com/society/2024/mar/21/is-this-how-i-die-john-crace-on-his-terrifying-heart-attack

This might not be the right area for this, but then given Crace's reflections on the state of the NHS it might.

I post this because I know several posters enjoy Crace's sketches on parliament, and also because I admire the way he describes his heart attack:

"Can such a major trauma be this banal?"

This chimes so much with when my partner had a heart attack back in 2010. The onset of pain, the slight diminishment of pain and the urge to carry on as if nothing had really happened.

Excellent article.
If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them. - God is Love.

Fascinating article, but you'd think a Guardian columnist would know the difference between "lay" and "lie".
"That bloke over there, out of Ultravox, is really childish."
"Him? Midge Ure?"
"Yes, very."
