I'm becoming increasingly appalled by Israel's spin on what is happening to the aid for the Palestinians. They take no blame whatsoever for the lack of food getting through, choosing to blame it all on Hamas, and even accusing the United Nations of being in league with Hamas. That takes some believing. Jeremy Bowen has stated that now Hamas is a totally broken and spent force, whereas the Israeli government still talks of it as pulling all the strings (It surely wouldn't require many intransigent fanatics to hang on to  a few hostages). What do people here think? Are we all being duped by our own and the world's media, or should we be believing the Israeli propaganda machine?
I know a Jewish chap who was in my year at college. He had a great personality, and now lives in Jerusalem. I found him on Facebook and messaged him to say hi, but had to resist saying anything about Gaza as I didn't want to appear critical. His comments on his Facebook page have been very defensive of Israel's response to 7 October. Up until the end of June that is, now he's gone quiet. I assume he's ok, but wonder if he is starting to see the reality of what's happening.

A retired US special forces officer has revealed to the BBC why he resigned from his work with US- and Israel-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) aid distribution centres.

"I witnessed the Israeli Defense Forces shooting at the crowds of Palestinians," Anthony Aguilar told the BBC.

He added that in his entire career he has never witnessed such a level of "brutality and use of indiscriminate and unnecessary force against a civilian population, an unarmed, starving population".

Israel's government continues to ban journalists into Gaza so the IDF can have more freedom to continue its war crimes and genocide through siege, mass starvation and shooting of displaced Palestinian civilians trying to get aid for their desperate children, crying from hunger.

https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cy08n8x6788o Meanwhile the symbolic air drops of small amounts of aid is nowhere near enough to meet the need in Gaza.

The Israeli government and those serving in the IDF who are helping to starve and murder Palestinian civilians are war criminals - no different from Hamas terrorists indiscriminately killing Israeli civilians.

No useful action is actually being taken to stop Israel starving people, although many world leaders have openly condemned Israel's policy of starvation and brutality to further its decades-long, well-documented, Zionist European colonisation project and its prevention of a 2-state solution.

Yet the UK government only chooses to proscribe organisations that support resistance against European Zionist colonialism and occupation.

In their violent pursuit of Zionist ideology or in their contempt for Muslims (or both), racist, extremist Zionists and their supporters in the US and UK view all Palestinian lives as expendable.

You will hear these Zionist extremists and their supporters continue to justify or excuse the IDF's starvation of Palestinian babies and children by blaming Hamas terrorism rather than Israel's long-standing discriminatory policies to illegally occupy and steal Palestinian land and property, and unlawfully kill, kidnap, forcibly transfer, drastically restrict movement, and deny nationality and citizenship to millions of Palestinians.

So if Israel make some noises towards a two state solution but effectively reduces Gaza to a position that it cannot be a state, will the UK recognise Palestine or not?

Canada says the same as the UK on recognising a Palestinian state and Trump reacts completely differently. The problem with the crazy like a fox approach is that while it may work in citation circumstances, perhaps as regards violent conflict though it doesn't seen ti be doing that just now, is that in this sort of context consistency has its benefits. If you can't tell what the reaction will be to an act, then the reaction becomes a non factor in the decision making.
