Ditto here - and the 10-day weather forecast doesn't give much hope of an improvement soon. A week tomorrow looks promising, but then it's back to cloud, rain and cold.

I blame Sunak

I blame Sunak

During a speech before one of his General Elections, Harold Wilson mentioned various Labour achievements, and finished by referring to the warm, sunny weather that day: "And we even bring good weather with us!". He obviously intended it to be taken as a joke, but the crafty old sod was probably hoping that his audience would subconsciously associiate good weather with Labour.

Beautiful day here in Herts - summer has arrived at last.

I have just put the washing out, it was lovely and sunny, but has now clouded up. If I did my washing in drought stricken area, they would never have a drought again!

Still warm and sunny - not a cloud in the sky.

It is much cooler and we have had some drizzle. My husband dug me out of bed, just before 5am, to look at the fantastic rainbow.

We had light drizzle this morning, light winds and it is cooler than yesterday. It isn't raining at present, so I have risked putting the washing out, and await the monsoon!!!!!!

Dull and chilly. I've got the plug-in heater on.
