And yet if we have annual limits that are breached in 5 days, it's a pretty useless piece of window dressing. In essence this isn't a discussion about climate change but the politics of climate change.

Out of interest, what proportion of those new purchases were either hybrid or purely electric?  How many diesel?  Have those proportions changed over the last few years?
