I remember hearing a dad at a kids' party boasting that he always flushed wet wipes because 'if they get stuck they are someone else's problem then'. Pillock.

We don't use them at all, we manage perfectly well. I did have them back in the nappy days though and get that in some circumstances they do a job. But as you say - bin them.

When we bought our present property our then next door neighbours begged us not to put wet wipes down the loo. They said the shared drain was getting blocked on a regular basis as the people we bought the house off were always disposing of them in that way.

I remember putting them in the toilet many years ago but then got wise to the problems they cause. Baby wipes are good for shoe cleaning. I also use disinfectant wipes but they all go in the bin.
