Fascinating stuff. Nice to see Beauford Delaney mentioned. I'd come across him elsewhere but forgotten the link to Paris for some reason.

Thinking about it, I read the biography of James Baldwin by David Leeming years ago, and I must have picked up on Delaney then.

Baldwin was extraordinary. I hadn't known of Delaney and it's a lovely article.
