He was and is well thought of by rugby league fans, especially in my area. He was a well respected coach who led Hull to several championships. I also remember Clive Sullivan, who played for both Hull and Hull KR and was the first black captain of Great Britain in the 70s. Indeed, a major road running in to Hull is called the Clive Sullivan Way in his honour.
Sometimes I wish my first word was 'quote,' so that on my death bed, my last words could be 'end quote.'
