Reminds me of when gays were finally allowed to be members of the UK armed forces. I was rather torn: on one hand, I was all for gay equality, but on the other, as a pacifist or near-pacifist since my teens, I didn't like the idea of anyone being in the armed forces.

Loath as I am to agree with anything in the Spectator, I must admit he's right: corporations jumping on progressive bandwagons as far as their logos are concerned without necessarily doing anything is somewhat hypocritical. I don't much care that "Waitburycosdaldi plc supports Gay Pride month"; I just want them to treat their employees, suppliers and customers fairly.
