There must have been great internal conflict at the police having the choice of greater crime and disorder and 24 hour a day pies.

Why is Greggs so desperate to sell baked goods 24/7? Is there a huge untapped market between 11pm and 5am that is critical to their business success?

It is in Leicester Sq. so an area already busy through the night. It seems unlikely that there is any evidence that it would really significantly increase anti-social behaviour or crime.

Would be good if they offered seating though: It is their "flagship store" and might help their appeal even if meant more cost for them? 

Grieg would be good too :)
