I understand the reasoning but I still struggle with this:

I would have thought the simple solution here is change all U films to PG. I'm baffled Watership Down was ever a U.

And as for "Bambi"!

My mother never quite got over having to drag me out of the cinema wailing at the death of Bambi's mother.
