I came to realise that every time we recognise something human in creatures, we are also recognising something creaturely in ourselves. That is central to the rejection of human supremacism as the pernicious doctrine it is.

The thing is it won't add or take anything away from the age we are now. And it sure as damn won't change anything about the future.
Do we really need to be told we are getting OLD or shouldn't that be older.... Wine  gets better as it ages  so age not a bad thing.

Only for a few decades, after which it starts todeteriorate, same as us. A bottle of fine wine from 1750 would be rubbish by now.

Would that not depend on how it had been stored and if the cork sealed but kept moist and unblown?

Our religious views are, I regret to say, about 25,000 years apart, and I have seen (N B - seen! Didn't get to tidy the spare room until a week later. Two glasses of wine on the table.

I would really begin to feel my age if my family stop teasing me about how old and senile I am. On Jan 23rd next year I shall hide under my bed all day and pretend I am 7 again, and forget about the zero after that number. ;D ;D ;D

If they start teasing you about your senility, that’s a good sign that you are not senile. It’s when they stop teasing you that you need to worry.

Yes that would be worrying. Even our Down's Syndrome son, (nearly 34) teases his old mum, from about the age of three he has been telling me how VERY, VERY OLD I am. ;D

Oddly I had a wee panic when I was about to turn 27. More so than the 'big' birthdays - which I now try and embrace.
